Tottenham Hotspur find themselves in the dark about Christian Eriksen's future. The Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly had a fall out with Eriksen's agent with the Danish international coveting a move to Real Madrid or even Barcelona.

Levy and Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots haven't sat down to discuss the future in a long time. This has led to a lot of uncertainty and vulnerability for Pochettino's team as Eriksen continues to be one of their best players. In fact, Pochettino has mentioned this on more occasions than one.

Eriksen is now into the final year of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur. He is not keen on extending his contract and Spurs believe that the midfielder has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona. However, it remains to be seen whether either clubs will make a move for him before the transfer window shuts.

The clubs are more likely to wait until next summer to make a move as Eriksen will be available for a free then. Barcelona are not expected to make a move before the window shuts as they already have a surplus of midfielders in their squad and are, in fact, looking to offload a few.
