Manchester United frontrunners to sign Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United have discussed with Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes' agent. It was an informal meeting where the club's representatives sat down with the Portuguese international's agent Miguel Pinho in London.
Manchester United will be required to shell out an amount in the ballpark of £65 million in order to secure the services of Bruno Fernandes who was easily one of the best players in the Primeira Liga last season.
The Red Devils have been handed a major boost in the pursuit of Fernandes as other interested parties like Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham have cooled their interest and reportedly pulled out of the race to sign him.
Manchester United are reportedly also looking to rope in Newcastle United holding midfielder Sean Longstaff who has been likened to Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes owing to his style of play. United are desperate to reinforce their midfield following the departure of Ander Herrera and the fact that Pogba's future is still hanging in the balance doesn't help.
