Barcelona want Marcus Rashford as Griezmann alternative

Barcelona have invested heavily in the transfer market in the recent past in a bid to reinforce their attacking ranks following the departure of Neymar. However, despite signing two top talents in Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, the void that the Brazilian left remains and Barcelona will attempt to sign a forward in the summer.

Antoine Griezmann has been heavily linked with the Cules ever since he announced his departure from Atletico Madrid. However, the Barcelona dressing room is reportedly not happy with the prospect of the World Cup winner joining their team particularly because of his documentary which elaborates upon Griezmann's decision to not join Barcelona when they came knocking for him last summer.

That's where Marcus Rashford comes in. He is less problematic, has a great attitude and is brimming with talent. He will also be a cheaper option that Antoine Griezmann though it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will want to offload one of their brightest young prospects.

Barcelona are hoping to sign Rashford for less than €100 million in which case it will be quite a bargain. Rashford's current contract at Manchester United will run out in 2020.
