Manchester United have suffered a setback on the transfer front as their £40 million bid for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been rejected by Crystal Palace.

With Antonio Valencia set to depart and Diogo Dalot's defensive capabilities still suspect, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a top quality right-back and Wan-Bissaka fits the bill. The England u-21 international has been quite impressive for Crystal Palace and is easily one of the brightest young prospects in the Premier League right now.

The Eagles do not want to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka as he was one of their best players in the recently concluded season and will not consider letting him go if not for a substantial amount of money.

Crystal Palace reportedly wants £60 million to budge and though Manchester United are expected to return with an improved bid, that price could prove to be too much for the Red Devils.
