Ezequiel Garay

Sources have confirmed that Benfica’s Argentine defender Ezequiel Garay is keen on making a move to Manchester United.

The 26 year old defender is looking to move to a top European club and it is understood that his first choice is the Premier League table toppers. Having signed up with ‘star agent’ Jorge Mendes, his dream of moving to The Theatre of Dreams is most likely to come true.

Jorge Mendes, also called the ‘start agent’, is one the most influential agents in the world. His clients include Nani, Radamel Falcao, Cristiano Ronaldo and many more. He was the mastermind behind big signings like Cristiano Ronaldo, Anderson and Nani.

With United looking to beef up their defence, they would consider a player of Garay’s calibre to play for them. With Ferdinand and Vidic’s career entering the twilight, United would look to acquire players to reinforce the defence by signing new players.

Sir Alex Ferguson would probably have his scouts do a background check on Garay and see how he performs to make sure if he has what it takes to compete in the Premier League.
