Twitter erupts as Tottenham Hotspur defeat Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal - Premier League
Kane was once again the deciding factor of the derby

The 195th North London derby was one of the most hyped up clashes ever between these the two eternal rivals. But all the pre-match energy and anticipation did not end up being transferred onto the pitch.

The first 45 minutes of the game were very dull. Both teams failed to register a shot on target in the first quarter of the game. Harry Kane's header over the crossbar was the only talking point of the first half.

The second half started off perfectly for Tottenham. Kane leaped high and above to head the ball into the net off a Ben Davies cross in the 49th minute. The goal lifted the spirits of Spurs as they went on to create more chances and arguably should have been leading by more than just a goal.

Substitute Alexandre Lacazette failed to capitalize on the chances he created. He should have ideally equalized late in the game when he beat the defender for pace and got ahead of him before narrowly shooting it wide.
