Barcelona recorded a comprehensive 4-1 win over Granada to keep the pressure on La Liga leaders Real Madrid. The Catalan giants were without star man Lionel Messi for the crunch away clash, with the Argentine missing the game due to a card picked up in Barcelona’s last match.

Luis Suarez opened the scoring for Luis Enrique’s side with a deft chip from near the edge of the box after being denied on multiple occasions by Guillermo Ochoa. Granada equalised through Chelsea loanee Jeremie Boga, who scored within 5 minutes of coming on at halftime.

Paco Alcacer then scored a rare goal for the away side to make it 2-1 before Ivan Rakitic’s shot took a weird deflection and nestled into the back of the net. Neymar completed the rout with a volley to finish a move started by a moment of pure inspiration from Andres Iniesta. The goal was the Brazilian’s 100th for Barcelona.

Barcelona looked shaky for the first 60 minutes and the absence of Lionel Messi was clearly visible but a late onslaught helped them get all the three points. Twitter exploded after the game and here are the best tweets:

Neymar has 100 goals for Barcelona!

Predicting a 100 goals too many?

Ouch!

Ochoa was phenomenal, still conceded 4!

Celebrating the genius of Andres Iniesta!

Meanwhile, for once Suarez didn’t go down easily. And look how that panned out!

And then, some mind numbing stats of the former Liverpool striker!

A sly dig on Messi!
