Twitter melts down as Roma thrash Barcelona 3-0 to reach the semi-finals of UEFA Champions League

What will go down as one of the greatest ever European nights in the history of Roma sent shock waves across the footballing world!

Barcelona had a 4-1 advantage going into the second leg in Italy and Roma did the unthinkable as they won 3-0 on the night to go through to the semi-finals on away goals advantage!

Edin Dzeko opened the scoring in the 6th minute as he was found by Daniele De Rossi with a brilliant through ball and he made no mistake. The second goal came in the 58th minute as Dzeko was pulled down inside the box by Pique and the subsequent penalty was scored by Mr. Roma, De Rossi.

Kostas Manolas was the hero as he rose high to a header in the 82nd minute to head it into the back of the net from a corner to send Roma fans into absolute delirium.

Barcelona was lacklustre for the most part of the game and Roma sealed an incredible comeback to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
