Back on track! After a disappointing defeat at the hands of lowly West Brom, Manchester United headed into the game against Bournemouth with a point to prove and to strengthen their second-place position in the league table.Mourinho made a host of changes to his starting XI and handed starts to Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, partly because of their FA Cup semi-final affair against Tottenham on Saturday.Bournemouth, on the other hand, had only one win from 8 games and were seeking a win to finish in the top half of the table.United looked better as compared to last Sunday and they took the lead in the 28th minute through Chris Smalling who was found free inside the box by Jesse Lingard after some excellent work from Ander Herrera. It was a half of half-chances for Bournemouth and they failed to trouble de Gea.Bournemouth came back fighting in the second half but the result was put to bed in the 70th minute by Romelu Lukaku after he was put through on goal after a marauding run from Paul Pogba. Here's how Twitter reacted:Goals first:Smalling’s goal. pic.twitter.com/ItPHTGscAg— UnitedReview (@TheUtdReview) April 18, 2018Romelu Lukaku doubles the lead with a lovely one-touch finish from a perfect Paul Pogba pass 👏#BOUMUN pic.twitter.com/oOMWUvEl7Z— Man Utd Goals 🎦 (@UtdGoals) April 18, 2018Twitter reactions:Chris Smalling has scored more goals than Alvaro Morata in 2018.
