AS Roma beat Liverpool 4-2 in the second leg of the semi-final in the Champions League but it wasn't enough as Liverpool won the tie 7-6 on aggregate. It didn't take long for Liverpool put the Reds in the driving seat after just nine minutes. But the home team found a lucky break in the form of an own goal when Dejan Lovren's clearance ricocheted off James Milner's head to hand Roma the equaliser. The goals kept coming in the first half as Georginio Wijnaldum's header put the Reds in front once again. The goal fest continued as Edin Dzeko levelled it up early in the second half following up on the rebound from a Loris Karius save.Later on, a handball by Trent Alexander-Arnold in the box resulted in Roma's claims for a clear penalty being denied by the referee. The drama continued towards the closing stages as a Radja Nainggolan brace proved to be too little as AS Roma ran out of time in their quest of another sensational comeback whereas Liverpool will be making their first UEFA Champions League final appearance in 11 years against Real Madrid on May 2.Here are the best tweets from the game:🇮🇹 @OfficialASRoma hadn’t conceded a single @ChampionsLeague goal at home this season........it took @LFC 8 minutes. 🐸☕️ pic.twitter.com/r1cbXYmSE4— SPORF (@Sporf) May 2, 2018Who said Romans don't conceed at home?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂#UCL #ROMLIV— нэиisоtа (@hpbusulwa) May 2, 2018Steve McManaman saying "Schick" made me vomit in my mouth.— Paddy Power (@paddypower) May 2, 2018Seems @LFC are the only ones scoring tonight as @JamesMilner cancels Sadio mane's opener. 😂😂😂#UCL #UCLfinal #ROMLIV— Skyxports (@IdenyiGabriel) May 2, 2018James milner just woke up in Harry kane's body😂😂😂— Cisse Junior♠ (@cissejunior97) May 2, 2018Own goal of the season by @JamesMilner 😂😂 #ROMLIV @btsport pic.twitter.com/ilf4Gnvjj6— Nath Moss (@mR_m0j0_r151n) May 2, 2018News coming out of Stadio Olimpico is that Harry Kane has claimed James Milner's own 😳#ROMLIV #UCL pic.twitter.com/FNVSr0PC5R— #LateNightRide 📻 (@ThePresident_SA) May 2, 2018Salah used to play for Roma... @JamesMilner does now!
