Manchester United increased their winning run to six games under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United's fortunes have completely changed since the appointment of Solskjaer. The clash against Tottenham was Solskjaer's first stern test since taking charge of the club. With this win, United are level on points with Arsenal on 5th position in the League. Solskjaer's appointment has increased the confidence of the players and they are playing fearlessly.Tottenham, on the other hand, squandered their chances of winning the league after the defeat at Wembley. Tottenham are two points behind City in the third positionUnited are playing the attacking brand of football under the new manager. United have scored staggering 17 goals and conceded only three in six games which clearly shows the effect Solskjaer has on his team.Tottenham dominated United in the first half having more possession and shots but failed to put the ball at the back of the net. Tottenham should have taken the lead when Harry Winks hit the shot wide with less than 15 minutes on the clock. It seemed as if Tottenham took the lead in the 31st minute through Harry Kane but the goal was disallowed for offside.Moussa Sissoko was substituted by Erik Lamela due to injury during the final minutes of the first half. United took the lead through Marcus Rashford in the 44th minute.Tottenham tried their very best to score the equalizer in the second half with their attacking football but failed to do so. Pochettino's men were denied 11 times by Spanish shot-stopper David De Gea who was probably the best player on the pitch from both the clubs.Solskjaer and his men will continue to maintain their winning run when they face Brighton next week at Old Trafford. Tottenham will face Fulham next week.Twitter reacted to the United's win over Tottenham and here are some of the best tweets:Great win @ManUtd and @D_DeGea is a wall👏👏👏— Peter Schmeichel (@Pschmeichel1) January 13, 2019Where would we be without @D_DeGea 🙌🏽🙌🏽 @ManUtd— Usain St. Leo Bolt (@usainbolt) January 13, 2019Lingard, Mata and Herrera are every Manchester United fan right now 👏🤗 pic.twitter.com/KgY6HMMkqR— B/R Football (@brfootball) January 13, 2019When jealous people were saying OleBabes was only winning against small teams 😂😂😂 hahahahaha #ilovethisgame #ForEvraRed 🔴🔴🔴 @ManUtd— Patrice Evra (@Evra) January 13, 2019🔴 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced as manager:5⃣ @Arsenal (34 Points)6⃣ @ManUtd (26 Points)🏟 After 5 matches in charge:5⃣ @Arsenal (41 Points)6⃣ @ManUtd (41 Points)🎶 “Ole’s at the wheel...” pic.twitter.com/Mlsto1zsTg— SPORF (@Sporf) January 13, 2019Manchester United's next 5 Premier League games:(H) Brighton (H) Burnley(A) Leicester(A) Fulham(H) Liverpool How many point's do you think we will get? #mufc— Aidan Walsh 🔰 (@AidanWalshMUFC) January 13, 2019Relax it's just CardiffRelax it's just HuddersfieldRelax it's just BournemouthRelax it's just NewcastleRelax it's just ReadingRelax it's just TottenhamRELAX Manchester United is BACK 😂 pic.twitter.com/GDRWsB7IsU— Ayodeji Ayodeji (@AyodejiX2) January 13, 2019De Gea could’ve saved dinosaurs from extinction pic.twitter.com/iVDQjAuOle— DB (@david93burt) January 13, 2019We all knew @D_DeGea is good but today he was outstanding!
