Manchester United drew for the second time in the Premier League 2018-19 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they held Liverpool to a goalless draw at Old Trafford.

Manchester United started the match in a 4-3-1-2 formation, where Nemanja Matic was replaced by Scott McTominay. Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba made up the rest of the midfield, and Juan Mata started behind Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford.

On the other hand, Liverpool came up with their regular 4-3-3 formation. James Milner started as the right-back while Trent-Alexander Arnold remained on the bench.

In a chaotic first half for the Manchester club, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made all three substitutions in the first half of this match due to injuries. Liverpool also made a forced change during the first half, with Daniel Sturridge replacing Roberto Firmino as the centre-forward.

Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez were the men who were substituted on during the first 45 minutes of the match, but Lingard was taken off soon after coming on. Marcus Rashford also seemed to suffer a knock, but went on to complete 90 minutes in a brave effort.

In the second half, Manchester United started to put the pressure on Liverpool's defence. They played well in the second half, and their players created a few great chances to open the scoreline, but the match ended goalless.

Man United dropped down to the 5th position in the points table as Arsenal grabbed a victory this weekend in the Premier League. Solskjaer and co. have gathered 52 points from 27 matches, whereas Liverpool have snatched the top spot with 66 points after playing the same number of matches, one point ahead of Manchester City.
