Twitter reacts to Real Madrid's 2-1 loss to La Liga debutants Girona

Nobody expected this but here we are; Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Girona at the Estadi Montilivi to win three historic points in La Liga on Sunday. This is Girona's first season in the top flight and the first time they were playing Real Madrid and a win over the defending champions will go a long way in building confidence.

Isco had given Los Blancos the lead as early as the 12th minute but Girona had managed to hit the woodwork twice in the first half. The second half saw a much more eager and energetic Girona and two quickfire goals from Christian Stuani and Portu saw the Catalan side take the lead and they never gave it up.
