Salah was once again Liverpool's hero

Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park to move into second place in the Premier League table thanks to a late goal. It was Roy Hodgson's side who started strong and were rewarded with a penalty when the incoming Loris Karius collided with Wilfried Zaha, which earned him a yellow card.

The spot kick was converted by designated penalty taker Luka Milivojevic to give Palace the lead in the 13th minute. The referee was also on top of his game in the first half when Sadio Mane was rightfully booked for simulation and later his headed goal was disallowed for offside.

It was a frustrating first half for Liverpool but they turned it around immediately after the start of the second half when Mane equalized from a James Milner cross. A few minutes later, the home side came close twice to taking the lead but Christian Benteke fluffed both his opportunities keeping the scoreline tied at 1-1.

It was a quiet game for Mohamed Salah until the 84th minute when he scored the winner, off his right foot, following a cross from Andrew Robertson. The late goal meant that this was the third time in the last month that Crystal Palace have dropped three points after 80 minutes, following losses against Tottenham and Manchester United.
