Sergio Ramos scored a dramatic equaliser for Real Madrid

Barcelona and Real Madrid may not have lived up to it’s El Clasico name right from the start, but Sergio Ramos’ late equalizer in the 90th minute allowed Los Blancos to grab a late draw. The result means that Real Madrid still remain 6 points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga, while extending their unbeaten streak to 33 games, just one short of their all time record.

El Clasico got off to a relatively quiet start, with both sides still circumspect as they went into the break goalless. Luis Suarez’s 53rd minute opener looked to have won it for Barcelona, with Neymar and Leo Messi missing presentable chances. The Catalans were left to rue those misses as Ramos was left unmarked from a 90th minute corner and then scored the crucial goal.
