Arsenal hosted Watford at the Emirates today and it was a game that they needed to win. Despite suffering three losses in a row in the Premier League, Arsenal were coming on the back of a 2-0 win in Italy against AC Milan in the UEFA Europa League.Shkodran Mustafi gave the Gunners the lead from a Mesut Ozil free kick in the eighth minute. The first-half was an end-to-end affair and both teams got decent chances to score, but it ended 1-0.Arsenal doubled their lead at the hour mark when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rounded the keeper to slot it in after Henrikh Mkhitaryan put him through. Minutes later, Watford were given a penalty when Roberto Pereyra was brought down inside the box. Petr Cech denied Troy Deeney from the spot and saved a penalty for Arsenal in his sixteenth attempt. Watford tried to get back in to the game but the result was put beyond doubt when Mkhitaryan scored to make it 3-0 from Aubameyang's pass. The game had its nervy moments but Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners to give them a huge morale boost heading into the business end of the season. Petr Cech became the first Premier League goalkeeper to reach 200 clean sheets. Here are the goals:GOAL ! Great start.
