After a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton, Fulham find themselves in 19th-place. With only 10 matches left in the season, it appears to be an uphill task for the London club to stay in the Premier League next season. Having just been promoted this season, Fulham might soon find themselves back in the Championship after failing to impress.Claudio Ranieri was appointed the new manager of the club back in mid-November last year. Considering the amazing season he had with Leicester, where he led them to the title, fans would have been expecting much more from him. The Cottagers only have 17 points from 28 games and possess the worst defensive record in the league. Thus far, the team have conceded 37 goals, two more than Huddersfield who are at the bottom of the table.Since the Italian manager took over, the club has gone on to win just three games. Most recently, they thrashed Brighton at the end of January. However, they were knocked out by Oldham in the FA Cup third round and that certainly increased pressure on Ranieri.Fulham fans have not been particularly pleased with their manager and the performance of the team. They have been calling for his sacking for some time now and it looks like their wishes have finally come true. Here is how fans reacted to the news of Ranieri's departure.Despicable performance again. Ranieri has to go.People may not agree with our agenda, but a stance has to be taken against what the club has become.#FFC pic.twitter.com/306O4Bhvdb— Fulham Nice Guys (@FulhamNiceGuys) February 27, 2019The state of Ranieri. Becomes more and more obvious with every Fulham game that the Leicester City side of 2014/15 were absolutely swimming in PEDs. Someone will go undercover and discover the lengths he went to for a documentary.'Fox hunting. Coming to Netflix this autumn.'— GeorgeWeahsCousin (@WeahsCousin) February 27, 2019As one Fulham fan at #SOUFUL said 'Ranieri has completely lost the fans tonight'. I think the #Fulham fans chants in the video 📽️ say it all. #FulhamFC #Ranieri pic.twitter.com/RRv4MuhygV— Fulham1879 FanTV (@Fulham1879FanTV) February 27, 2019Don't think I know a single Fulham fan who doesn't want Ranieri sacked - can't remember anything that had the same level of universal agreement. Personally, I've never disliked a #FFC manager as much as this bloke. 🤡— Sam B (@sam6bryant) February 28, 2019106 - Claudio Ranieri lasted just 106 days in charge of Fulham - only six managers in Premier League history have had shorter permanent tenures at a single club.
