Twitter reacts to Liverpool's 7-6 aggregate win over Roma to reach the UEFA Champions League final
Liverpool reach this year's Champions League final and here's how Twitter reacted
What a historic night for Liverpool as they reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League final for the first time since 2007!
Their job on the night was made a tad easy as a result of their 5-2 victory in the first leg but there was a case for optimism for Roma because of the two away goals they bagged and the fact that they managed to overturn a similar deficit in the quarterfinals against Barcelona.
However that was not the case this time as two mistakes from the home side proved to be fatal in the first half as Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum helped Liverpool to go into halftime with a 7-3 lead on aggregate, Roma getting one back through a Milner own goal.
Despite Roma coming out all guns blazing in the second half, it was too steep a mountain to climb despite both Dzeko and Naingollan getting on the score sheet to lead Roma to a 4-2 victory on the night.
