Antonio Valencia has stated that he is disillusioned with life under David Moyes this season, feeling that he has been largely underused by the Scotsman in his debut season in charge.
Valencia is reported to be one of the players potentially up for sale in the summer as Moyes plots a £200 million overhaul of his underachieving squad, having been a largely bit-part player, making just 15 starts in the Premier League.
The Ecuadorian winger is far from happy with his current situation and while he stopped short of issuing a desire to leave Old Trafford in the summer, he is hoping is situation will change before too long.
Valencia told The Mirror: “I would like to have had more minutes.
“I would like to have had a more important role here. In fact, I would like to have had more importance inside of the team.
“But I have not been given a chance. I hope next season will be better for me, as well as Manchester United.”
Valencia is believed to be one of ten players that potentially leave United at the end of the season, with Moyes’ dependence on the flanks having drawn a lot of criticism to the extent that he is considering installing a narrower system next season.
