Video: Beijing Guoan defeat Wuhan Zall 3-1 in CSL

Chinese Super League strugglers Wuhan Zall went in search of their third win of the season, when they took on Beijing Guoan at Workers Stadium in the Chinese capital on Sunday.

The visitors made another dream start by scoring the opening goal in the second minute of Sunday’s game.

Last season’s Serbian SuperLiga top scorer, Stojanovic was the man on target.

Beijing levelled 13 minutes later though, with Ecuadorian striker Joffre Guerron finding the net with a powerful header which left Wu Yan no chance.

And the hosts were awarded a penalty-kick when Piao Cheng was brought down Wu Yan on the stroke of half-time.

Former West Ham and Sevilla forward Frederic Kanoute thumped the penalty home to give Beijing the lead, scoring his eighth goal of the season in the process..The visitors were reduced to 10 men 13 minutes into the second half and things got even worse in the closing stages when Beijing’s much anticipated summer signing Peter Utaka teed up Wang Xiaolong who finished superbly.

The goal scorer decided to hug opposition head coach Ljubisa Tumbakovic to thank the Serbian, who had previously been Wang’s coach in Shandong in what was a wonderful sporting moment in this 3-1 victory for Beijing.
