Video: Bundesliga 2 side Ingolstadt hit crossbar thrice in crazy pinball sequence

Ingolstadt defeated Vfl Bochum 3-0 in a match which also saw them hit the bar thrice in the same move

Bundesliga 2 leaders Ingolstadt hit the crossbar thrice in the same sequence last night against Vfl Bochum, in what was a rather funny turn of events. Striker Kevin Leckie, got onto the the end of a looping ball from midfield, but saw his header bounce off the crossbar twice.

The ensuing rebound was then headed onto the crossbar by fellow striker Moritz Hartmann, who exhibited great bravery to get to the ball, but could only direct his header onto the bar.

Ingolstadt won the otherwise straightforward game 3-0, as they put in a dominating performance to bounce back from their loss last week to continue their merry run at the top of the table. Goals from Hartmann, top-scorer Lukas Hinterseer, and Leckie ensured that der Schanzer will remain at the top for some more time to come.

What makes this win even better is the fact that all three of their nearest challengers, Karlsruher SC, FC Heidenheim and Darmstadt 98, dropped points on Saturday night, thus giving all the advantage to Ingolstadt.
