Cheerleader ran straight into footballer on the field

We all know fouls are a part of the game, and that players need to be careful when they go in to tackle an opponent. Similarly, being ready for a tackle from an opponent is completely normal, but how does one prepare for a tackle from a cheerleader?

That is precisely what happened in the Belarusian Premier League when BATE Borisov took on Gomel last Saturday. The BATE captain, Dzmitry Likhtarovich, turned to go to his team’s half after the pre-match formalities but was in for a rude shock, as a cheerleader crash tackled him, making him fall down and fell down herself too.

What was shocking was the cheerleader was not booked! Likhtarovich tried taking evasive action to avoid a head-on collision as the cheerleader ran blindly into him, and in the process fell down. Let’s just hope the referees and the Belarussian FA take retrospective action
