Cristiano Ronaldo has taken La Liga by storm ever since his record £80 million move to Real Madrid from Manchester United. Ronaldo’s goal against Rayo Vallecano took him to an astonishing 300 Real Madrid goals in his 6th season.

The 30-year-old leads the league’s goal-scoring charts with 37 goals, with Lionel Messi in second spot, 4 goals behind.

Ronaldo scored his 300th goal with a diving header after some brilliant work from full-back Dani Carvajal. With Madrid drawing a blank till the 68th minute, the Spaniard went on a mazy run that set him clear inside the box.

He, then, crossed the ball to the centre of the penalty area, where a waiting Ronaldo headed the ball towards goal to break the deadlock and reach the landmark figure.

The current Ballon d’Or winner has scored 214 La Liga goals, 60 Champions League goals, 21 Copa del Rey, 3 in Supercopa del Espana and 2 in the European Super Cup. It has taken him just 288 matches to reach the 300-goal mark for Los Blancos.

Ronaldo is now the third-highest goal-scorer in Real Madrid history behind Raul, 323, and Alfredo di Stefano, 308.
