Did Nicki Bille Nielsen pull off the best goal celebration in the world? The Danish footballer has come up with the most outrageous goal celebration following his stoppage-time equaliser by chugging a pint of beer given to him by one of his team’s supporters.
Esbjerg had fallen behind by two goals in their away visit Hobro who are at the bottom of the table. The striker inspired a comeback with a goal in the 50th minute followed it up with a stoppage-time penalty to level the score. Nielsen’s side are now sitting second last on the table and the two sides are likely to be relegated at the end of the season in 2016.
The Danish striker has earned a bad-boy reputation in his native land for many years. The 27-year-old has always been on the move throughout his career, partly because he has been blacklisted for his controversies, bans and fines that have cropped up sporadically in the past.
However, in the recent years, the striker has considerably sobered down. But he still retains the attitude of his younger days and this was evident during the final minutes of Esbjerg’s league tie against Hobro at the weekend.
Nielsen kept a cool head while blasting home a dramatic penalty equaliser, only to lose it swiftly thereafter when he thundered over to the fans and chugged down a beer in celebration.
