Arsenal overcame Fulham with a convincing 3-1 victory away from home to lift some pressure off Arsene Wenger’s shoulders.
Olivier Giroud fortuitously controlled the ball when Aaron Ramsey’s shot struck him, and the Frenchman reacted quickly to clip the ball past David Stockdale to give Arsenal a 14th minute lead.
Lukas Podolski then grabbed a goal in each half as he rounded off two fine counterattacks before Darren Bent grabbed a consolation goal on his Fulham debut in the 77th minute.
