With the score tied at 0-0 and both Ivory Coast and Cameroon guaranteed a place in the next round of the African Nations cup, stoppage time was witness to a shocking piece of play by the Elephants. In one of the rarest instances in football, The Ivory Coast players were seen passing the ball among themselves for three whole minutes until the referee blew the final whistle.

The Cameroon players didn’t even attempt to get the ball and camped in their own half.

Ugly scenes after the match

The match turned ugly when after the game supporters invaded the pitch at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium. Many players were unable to escape the clutches of the fans until the police came to their rescue.
