AFC United’s Omar Eddahri scored a stunning peach of a goal from right outside the penalty box using a Rabona kick, during the weekend. Rabona is a method of kicking the football whereby the kicking leg is wrapped around the back of the standing leg—effectively with one’s legs crossed.

During the second half, the striker received the ball outside the box from the left wing before slotting it on to the top corner of the goal using his right foot wrapped around the left one. Although it looks very easy but in reality it ideally requires a player to possess equal power and quality in both his feet.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a pioneer of this particular technique in recent times and has almost perfected it. The rabona has been also used in American Football by Chris Boswell to successfully deceive his opponents during an University match. Boswell had learned the trick from his father, who grew up playing football in Brazil.

A really unique technique, it requires a lot of power and precison to even pass the ball using this. This could ideally be one of the top contenders for of the goal of the season in the Sweedish League.

This goal gave a much needed 3-1 win for the AFC United who are currently at sixth in the Sweedish League.
