Often we come across some ridiculously extravagant commercials to market a trivial product. Call it an experiment, call it a risk but the combination of Pepsiand football did strike a chord with fans all around the world. Some of the commercials made by Pepsi were just brilliant.
Beckham vs The Sumos
I can vividly recall the advertisement where the greatest footballers of the 2000?s like David Beckham, Gigi Buffon, Roberto Carlos, Roberto Carlos, Raul,Edgar Davids square up against a pair of Japanese sumo wrestlers in a game of street style football. The sumos win it in the end and claim the prize “an icebox full of Pepsi cans”.

Surf’s up
Beach football got a whole new definition in this commercial as the players decided to play football in the sea. Beckham, Ronaldinho, Raul, Roberto Carlos and of course Thierry the King Henry were the stars of this one. After being stopped from playing football on the beach by a group of surfers, the players decide to get creative and teach the surfers a lesson.

Back to the Medieval Times
This one even includes the Italian master Francesco Totti. Set in the medieval era this battle for Pepsi seems absurd but very entertaining. Beckham’s entry is class as usual and the finale is rounded off by a vintage Roberto Carlos free kick.

Wild Wild West
This one reminds me of several things Clint Eastwood movies, an old game called Gun, a movie named 3:10 to Yuma, another called Quickdraw. This one is a treat for all the Manchester United and Real Madrid fans. A poster reading “WANTED RIVALDO” will definitely catch your eye.

This one includes the likes of Henry, Dino, Becksy, Lampard and also some of the superstars of the current generation Messi and Fabregas. The part where Henry gets punked by an attractive girl who suddenly transforms into Fabregas is just too good.
