VIDEO: Gareth Bale's hilarious attempt to score a dizzy penalty

Gareth Bale tries a new penalty

Real Madrid superstar, Gareth Bale, took on a challenge to score a penalty after getting himself dizzy but does he score? Watch the video and find out!

The Welshman joined Real Madrid two seasons ago for a record £86m from North London club, Tottenham Hotspurs. With the La Liga season set to begin this weekend, it looks like he's taking some time off with close friends before the pressure and expectations of the season catch up.

The dizzy penalty is performed by having a player go around a football that's placed on the floor. S/he has to touch the football with one hand while circling it. You continue to do this for around 10 – 12 times and when you're dizzy enough, you attempt to take a penalty – that you've already set up – a few metres away.

It may look easy on video but trying it out in real life is something else entirely, as Gareth Bale proves. The video also has his friend take on the challenge twice and coming out with completely different results.

Meanwhile, Bale has been a constant in the rumour mill being linked to a return to England with Manchester United. Many fans and experts believe a move to Old Trafford should revive his – apparently – deprecated career.

The Welshman has constantly insisted that he wants to stay on at Real Madrid and succeed with his manager, Rafael Benitez, echoing the same. Even Bale's national manager, Chris Coleman, believes he should stay on at Real Madrid for he's surrounded by a lot more quality.

There's still two weeks left in the transfer window and if there Bale is on the move, any move for him should've already started.

For now, watch the dizzy penalty, try the dizzy penalty and hope you score.
