Barcelona‘s new coach, Tito Vilanova, claims he does not have any grudges with Real Madrid counterpart Jose Mourinho.Vilanova and ‘The Special One’ were involved in a touchline fight which witnessed Mr.Mourinho, in his temperental attitude, poking Vilanova, Pep Guardiola’s then assistant, in the eye during the Supercopa 2011, but the newly appointed manager is very keen to put the incident to sleep, and start a fresh life with Spanish Giant Real Madrid’s manager.
“I do not think that I have a bad relationship with Mourinho. It’s tiring that after a year, we are still talking about this. I accept the decision like a professional”, Vilanova said.
Sources say Tito will forget the past, and start with a new power after taking the place of a boss. During the interview, the coach also discussed his side’s transfer plans for the season, saying he has no plans of buying a forward.
“I’m counting on all of the players that are here. Afellay is a great player who had a serious injury last season. Messi is doing great. He takes physical conditioning very seriously. Hopefully Messi can score just as many goals this year as he did last year. He just improves year after year”, Vilanova said.
