Again, Paul Lambert’s perception of Villa being an exciting attacking team was shown to be something of a myth, with the team largely resorting to a functional and dour long ball game. Improvement needed. With no goals in the last four games, the next couple of fixtures might see a swing of opinion against Lambert, if his Villa troops don’t step up.
