Wales football team head coach Chris Coleman has said that he may not summon Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale for the next two friendlies against Northern Ireland and Ukraine.

Wales, who face Northern Ireland and Ukraine on 24 and 28 March respectively, will not call Bale if he does not have "much continuity" with his team, Coleman said on Thursday, reports Efe.

"We will have to wait and see in the next week or two what happens. And if he is not available, he is not available. He has had a bit of a time of it with Madrid, in terms of injury, a bit stop-start," Coleman said of his star, who has missed playing with Real Madrid for the last six weeks with a thigh injury.

"But Real Madrid have been so good with us in terms of how they have treated us. They have been very respectful. They have never ever put an obstacle in our way, in terms of getting Gareth," added the coach.

Bale, 26, returned to training with the Whites last Tuesday after the injury he suffered on 17 January.
