David Beckham isn’t one to be easily amazed when it comes to wonder goals. That’s why it was such a big deal when Wayne Rooney scored that 55-yard wonder goal against West Ham, leaving Beckham spellbound.
Beckham too had scored a similar goal against Wimbledon in 1996 which was almost identical.

And after the game, Rooney was asked about the goal and whether it was better than Beckham’s to which he replied, “Of course, yeah!”
He was also asked about whether it was his best goal to which he said it was right up there with the rest.
