Manchester United and Southampton came face to face on Saturday as it was expected that the match would be an easy one for the home side. But in reality, Southampton proved again why their team is considered as one of the giant-killers of the Premier League.Marcus Rashford returned from his injury while he was engaged in the starting line-up with Romelu Lukaku by United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The ultimate team remained unchanged as Andreas Pereira replaced Fred in the right portion of United's midfield.Manchester United got a few chances to open up the scoreline, but every time their forwards failed to gain the lead. It was Yan Valery who scored a stunning cracker from the outside of the box at the 26th minute of the match. Everybody enjoyed the goal of the right-back from the right-hand side of the pitch. In the first half, Lukaku and Rashford missed a few clear chances as the Red Devils continued the second half with an embarrassing 0-1 scoreline at Old Trafford. In the second half, Manchester United found the equalising goal at the 52nd minute of the match following a beautiful right-footed stunner from Andreas Pereira. This time, Diogo Dalot who was substituted on for injured Alexis Sanchez made the assist for the goal.Seven minutes later, Romelu extended the lead for the Manchester Club. Andreas Pereira's through ball found the Belgian striker while his weaker foot made no mistake to curl it inside the nets.It was James Ward-Prowse who scored the comeback goal following a sweetly-taken free-kick at the 75th minute of the game. It was the second one which De Gea failed to grab. After getting the second goal, Southampton started to dominate over the ball position as Ole Solskjaer men hardly found any kind of chances.Ole brought Fred on the field as the replacement of Andreas Pereira which helped Pogba to play in a more attacking role.Romelu Lukaku sealed the three points for Manchester United as his right foot snatched the winning goal at the 88th minute of the match.Paul Pogba missed a penalty at the closing minutes of the match, but this misdeed failed to stop the Red Devils to get all the three points.Manchester United claimed the 4th position as they have now 58 points from 29 matches.
