Who Said What on Real Madrid winning their 11th UEFA Champions League title

Real Madrid celebrate their 11th Champions League title

Real Madrid won their eleventh UEFA Champions League title beating local rivals for the second time in three years at the San Siro. Goals from Sergio Ramos and Yannick Ferrera Carrasco took the game up to penalties where Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winning goal that sealed 'Undecima' for Zinedine Zidane's men.

Here's how the who's who of the football world reacted to their win.

Cristiano Ronaldo was thrilled and thanked his teammates for their help in securing his third UEFA Champions League title. Speaking to reporters, he said, “We’re really happy, finals are always hard, the side was great and sacrificed a lot. It’s impressive. I knew I was going to score the winning penalty; I was confident."

Manager, Zinedine Zidane, was equally thrilled and applauded his team's mental strength in pulling off another exceptional win in Europe's top competition. "We worked so much," said the Frenchman, the first coach from his country to win the trophy. "I believe a lot in work, work is the most important thing and everyone has done a good job."

"We suffered a lot physically and some players had cramps, but it's normal," he added.

"Mentally, there is a lot of pressure but you have to fight. We have worked a lot and when you get something as big as the Champions (League), it means a lot for the staff and the supporters."

Scorer of Real Madrid's first goal in the first half, Sergio Ramos, took to Twitter to pour out his emotions.

He even posed with his Man of the Match trophy for the night. Not bad for the Real Madrid captain.

Right-back Dani Carvajal took to Twitter as well thanking the club's fans for their help in securing another massive milestone in Real Madrid's illustrious history.

Translation: We already have the 11th! It goes through all of you Madridistas! We fought until we couldn't more!

James Rodriguez, who didn't play a second of the final, took to Twitter to celebrate as well.

Welsh wizard, Gareth Bale, who had yet another screamer of a game took to Twitter and posted the after-match selfie with the one word that describes him and Real Madrid.

Striker, Karim Benzema, however took to Twitter to remind us how many UEFA Champions League trophies he's won. Two, in case you didn't know. Just saying.

And now, here's looking at some of the best Tweets from those recognisable football faces.

This is in regard to Pepe's excellent acting skills or he had some really bad pasta.
