Jack Wilshere to miss Dortmund clash; might miss game against Manchester United too

Jack Wilshere is set to miss Arsenal‘s crucial Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund this Wednesday night.

The midfielder suffered an injury to his other ankle while training, making him a doubt for the weekend game against Manchester United. In addition, he could also miss England’s friendlies with Chile and Germany.

Relief for Gunners fans is that Wilshere’s latest injury has nothing to do with the long-running right ankle problem which kept him out for 17 months.

Instead, he “rolled” his left ankle in training on Thursday.

Wilshere did not recover in time for the 2-0 win over Liverpool and will most likely not travel with the team to Germany.
