Win, lose or tie - Manchester United till I die

Manchester United v West Ham United - Premier League

Dear Manchester United Fans,

I along with all other fans, am disappointed with the current season proceedings for the greatest club in the world. The departure of Sir Alex has left a very big void that probably won’t be filled for years. I am not so disappointed with the results or being knocked out of the third round of FA cup. I am not even that bothered about the fact that the teams which hadn’t won for decades at Old Trafford are winning consistently and quite easily in fact.

The fact that bothers me is that the players don’t seem to be charged or motivated enough at present barring few exceptions like Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra (his performance can be debated but his motivation and work rate are stupendous), David De Gea and probably Rafael. In my opinion, players like Ashley Young, Anderson, Alex Buttner and Tom Cleverly are good players but not good enough for Manchester United. For all the noise about Shinji kagawa, I certainly believe he is one of the best play makers and is in the league of Mesut Ozil but he is not suited to the playing style of Manchester United which relies heavily on width.

Personally, I am not a big fan of David Moyes yet but he deserves the benefit of doubt here. He has made some mind boggling decisions but bringing Fellaini is not one of them. He provides much more steel in the midfield which we needed as we were getting overrun in middle a lot last season. His performance for MUFC is another matter but the idea behind the purchase was good. David Moyes needs to understand that at Manchester United, he needs to purchase big players and he needs to win trophies. He is being regarded as one of the best managers at Everton ever even without winning a single major trophy. He will be termed as “Worst Ever Manager” at Manchester United if he went without trophies for even two consecutive seasons.

I have no doubt that Manchester United is the greatest club and has the greatest fans. These are the hard times for our team and we need to stand by it. We need to trust the manager, trust the players, trust the backroom staff and support the team. I know for a fact that we will be back with a bang sooner than later. But until then, you need to show some respect to your club and yourself for that matter because “Win, Lose or Tie – Manchester United till I Die!”

Glory Glory Manchester United!
