Zinedine Zidane has been re-appointed as the manager of Real Madrid and he has signed a contract till the 2021/2022 season. He left the club last summer after guiding them to a record third consecutive UEFA Champions League title under his management.

Now, Zidane will be expected to overturn the fortunes of the club both by the fans and the board, after enduring a horrible 2018-19 season till now.

His appointment will be like fresh air to the squad members of Real Madrid as well, many of whom were part of his three-time Champions League winning team. Let's have a look at the biggest winners and losers following Zidane's return:

Winners

Real Madrid players: Isco, Marcelo and Keylor Navas will be the most relieved of humans on the planet right now. All three were an integral part of Real Madrid under Zidane for the past three seasons. But under his successors, all three had been seen as a misfit to their philosophies.

Isco hadn't started one league game under Solari. Marcelo's drift with Solari has been well reported in the media and Keylor Navas the star of Real Madrid's Champions League winning team in the past few seasons have spent more minutes on the bench than playing since Zidane left. His appointment will be a relief to all these Los Blancos stars.

Moreover, Zidane's presence as Real Madrid's manager will help the club in signing targets like Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe just as the President, Florentino Perez joked yesterday, "Zidane's French so maybe he could do something with Mbappe".

Losers

While Zidane favored some players like Isco and Navas in the Real Madrid squad, he also had some players he preferred less than others. Yes, of course, Bale is one of these players and will now for sure be leaving the club in the near future. Players like Ceballos didn't share a good bond with the Frenchman and probably will be one of the players to be sold in the summer.

Teams like Chelsea and PSG might also feel the effects of Zidane's re-appointment. Both of these clubs have superstars linked with a potential move to the Spanish capital, and Zidane's appointment might provide the extra lure to these stars.
