When Martial was given back the number 9 shirt before the Premier League season began, there were many questions on the Frenchman's consistency in front of goal. It is fair to say, the 23-year-old has displayed his qualities of a proper striker in the first two games of the season.

He scored against Chelsea, and he scored against Wolves in what was a brilliant finish to mark his 50th goal for the Red Devils. Solskjaer would have also been pleased with the off the ball running that Martial did throughout the game.

Rashford and Martial seem to be forming an attacking partnership for United and this season could really be a massive one for both those youngsters.

#1 Paul Pogba's penalty miss eventually cost United the game

When Wolves scored the equalizer, the home side were running high on momentum but against the run of play, the Red Devils won a penalty, thanks to a brilliant move from Martial and Pogba.

It was Pogba who was eventually tripped by Conor Coady and the Frenchman stepped up to take the penalty, but his effort was saved by the Wolves goalkeeper. Rashford was the man who took the penalty against Chelsea and this time it was Pogba who missed a huge opportunity to put his side in front.

This missed chance from Pogba is what cost Manchester United the game in the end as the Red Devils didn't create many opportunities after that until the end of the game.
