2018 FIFA World Cup Group Stage: Mexico 0 - 3 Sweden
One of the greatest things about the World Cup is that each and every edition of the tournament usually unearths a new global superstar or two. Back in 2014, that superstar was Colombia’s James Rodriguez, and many had tipped PSV Eindhoven’s Hirving Lozano to have a breakout tournament for Mexico this time around.

For Lozano, it’s so far, so good, with him making an explosive mark by netting the winner as the Mexicans destroyed Germany in their opening group game.
Unfortunately for Mexico, they had a major blip as they went down 3-0 to Sweden in their final group game, but Lozano has undoubtedly impressed in their games to date. The knockout stages await Mexico, and a major summer move could then be ahead for Lozano – with Barcelona just one of a slew of footballing superpowers showing an interest in the rapid, direct, and explosive Hirving Lozano.

Andrew Pollard
A longtime football and wrestling fan who's managed to somehow make a career out of writing and talking about such things, Andrew likes to think of himself as an entertaining, informative, and occasionally humourous writer and radio personality - although you may completely disagree with that.
When not writing or talking about the beautiful game and the squared circle, this Welshman can usually be found watching the not-so-mighty Wrexham AFC, scanning sports channels for any sort of football whatsoever, or re-watching classic Bret Hart matches of yesteryear. Elsewhere, Andrew is known as the Online Editor/Lead Writer of Starburst Magazine, a contributor for outlets such as TheRichest, WhatCulture, and TheQuiz.com, a radio presenter for CalonFM, and a panel host for Wales Comic Con.
