#1 Still heavily reliant on Messi

There is no doubt that Argentina's World Cup dream rests on the shoulders of Lionel Messi. He was everywhere on the pitch against Nigeria and was even seen defending in the final stages of the game.

He scored the all important opening goal which gave them much needed confidence. After waging a lone battle in the first two games, he found a good playmaker in Ever Banega against Nigeria, who assisted him with a beautiful lob pass.

Messi needs players like Banega to ease the pressure on him so he could play his natural game.

He combined well with Messi to put up a dominant show at Saint Petersburg against the Super Eagles. If Messi gets support from other players, then the World might witness magic once again at the grandest stage of all.
