#3 Adil Rami (Olympique Marseille)

The oldest and most experienced of the players on this list, Rami's France career has been a curious one.

The nomadic centre-back who has played for six top-flight clubs in Italy, Spain, and France has been in and out of the French squad for the better part of a decade and earned his first cap for the team in 2010 despite receiving his first call-up in 2008.

A powerful, no-nonsense defender, Rami is old-school in his approach to the game as he is quick and strong and very comfortable in possession, often bringing the ball out of defence and looking to start attacks.

He has slowed down a bit in terms of his overlapping runs (he is 32) which would be of great help to the French team as he would be able to cover for the more adventurous fullbacks. His rugged nature means he could bully opposition strikers off the ball and help the team maintain its defensive shape.

He is set to play in the Europa League final and has had a decent enough season for Marseille where he has been an ever-present in the heart of the defence.

He has been capped 33 times for Les Bleus and will be hopeful of getting an opportunity for one last hurrah.
