Stephan Lichtsteiner

The recent Arsenal signing, Stephan Lichtsteiner, is a player with plenty of experience. Lichtsteiner moved to the Italian club Juventus in 2011 from Lazio, where he inspired the Old Lady to 7 successive Serie A and 4 consecutive Coppa Italia titles.

'The Swiss Express' is a strong and versatile full-back with a commendable proficiency in exploiting spaces and building up play from the right flank of the pitch.

This season, Lichtsteiner made 32 appearances for Juventus in all competitions. In the Serie A, he won 25 tackles this season with a success rate of 48% and made 14 interceptions, 36 clearances and one block.

#5 Left Back: Marcelo - 30 years old

Marcelo

In recent years, Marcelo has developed into one of the best left-backs in the world.

The Brazilian international was instrumental in Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League triumph where he also scored 3 crucial goals. However, the 30-year-old occasionally found himself in the firing line for being too "attack-minded", which often resulted in Real Madrid being exposed defensively.

In the World Cup, Marcelo will be an important part of Tite's plans as he is not only a sturdy defender at the back but also boasts the ability to play crosses and create spaces up front.
