Mathematically, South Korea was not out of the competition coming to their third group game of the World Cup. They needed a win and had to hope for a positive result for them in the other group match, between Mexico and Sweden.

People had already written off the Asian side, predicting Germany as favorites to win the tie.

But, the men wearing red, were playing for national pride. They defended bravely and attacked with purpose causing problems for the Germans at both ends.

Kim Young-Gwon scored from close range in injury time, giving the South Koreans a dream lead in the game.

96th minute and Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min score again, crushing German hopes for a World Cup defense.
