Cristiano Ronaldo has done it! Having already won the Champions League and EURO 2016, he’s completed 2016 by winning his 4th Ballon d’Or.

Ronaldo was delighted on receiving the award and sent out this tweet shortly after the announcement:
Ronaldo’s team mates and friends did not hold back and began wishing the Real Madrid star:
Club captain, Sergio Ramos congratulated him by posting a picture of the two holding a Ballon d’Or shaped cake. The Spanish sentence used in the tweet translate to: “Congrats, friend! 2016 was your year.”
Real Madrid centre-back, Nacho Fernandez conveyed his wishes by posting a tweet saying, “Congratulations @cristiano! You get to keep making history.” with a photo of the two celebrating Ronaldo’s goal against arch-rivals, Atletico Madrid:
