Zinedine Zidane believes the BBC trio are better than the rest of the Real Madrid team

Real Madrid manager has put his attacking trio of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the quality of his entire squad. The three forwards have been at the heart of the attack for a few years now and have been created to rival the trio of Lionel Messi Luis Suarez and Neymar of Barcelona.

They do score the bulk of the goals and were very effective last season when Los Blancos won the UEFA Champions League. Benzema’s form has not been the greatest this term but the French manager still feels they are very important to his squad.

Speaking ahead of the game against Sporting CP he said, “It's not that BBC are non-negotiable, it's that they are the best. All my players are the best, but BBC have a little more.” The system will not change, we know the difficulty of each match and beating Atletico doesn't guarantee anything and tomorrow will be a very difficult game."When I put the team together I tell myself that we'll try and win the game, nothing more.”

“We always study the opponent and they'll study us."I think we have the best players. Placing them on the pitch in one way or another doesn't change much.”

The likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and others might provide the support but the BBC’s importance lies in their ability to turn chances into goals. Ronaldo Bale and Benzema provide the best outlet of attack for the team.

Real Madrid are currently unbeaten in all competitions and a lot of that has to do with the team effort. But Los Blancos were struggling to get results when the BBC were not in form.

Ronaldo in particular, had one of his worst starts to a season but has now found his scoring boots. His hat-trick against Atletico Madrid was a sign of things to come from the Portuguese and Zidane will be hoping for another stellar performance tonight.

Ronaldo returns to where it all began

Ronaldo had vowed as a kid to become one of the greatest footballers in the world and it was a dream that all started at Sporting. His mesmerising performance against United caught Fergie’s eye and he offered him the chance to join Manchester United.

It was there where he truly became a superstar and finally earned his dream move to Real Madrid. But tonight it will be an emotional time for the superstar as he makes his return to Sporting. Nothing but a win will do for Real if they are to try and wrestle back control of the group from Dortmund after their disappointing draw against Legia Warsaw last time out.
