Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5 live event all but confirmed after new leak

A new Fortnite leak has made its way to the internet and suggests a few key things about the upcoming season that has the community buzzing, including information on a potential live event to cap Chapter 3 Season 4.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is now about half over. As such, players are starting to look forward to the next season. They are always excited about the future, especially as the lore progresses. New leaks come out regarding what is in store, and loopers generally tire of the new aspects of each season at some point.

The Chrome and floating POIs have been interesting additions to the game, but players are looking forward to the next change that Epic Games has planned.

Fortnite tease suggests live event but not a new chapter

According to the leak by EveryDay FN on YouTube, a live event is coming at the end of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

According to them, the live event is all but confirmed. Since the current iteration seems to be heavy on the storyline, more so than Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, that's a reasonable credibility to the claim.

Given that there is a two-day downtime scheduled for the end of the season, it can be expected that it will close on something big. At the very least, it will end on something that requires a fairly substantial update, hence the major downtime.

With that two-day maintenance, many gamers believe there is a chance that Season 4 will be the finale of Chapter 3. After all, seasonal changes don't usually get that much downtime because there's not a lot that changes.

For instance, Chapter 2 Season 8 ended and there was quite a bit of downtime before Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 went live. However, Chapter 3 Season 3 ended with a very reduced period going into the current season.

However, it has essentially been confirmed that Chapter 3 Season 4 will not roll into Fortnite Chapter 4. Instead, Chapter 3 Season 5 is on the way.

Epic Games made news by foregoing Seasons 9 and 10 of Chapter 2 and just entering Chapter 3. There were a lot of rumors that they would forego the rest of Chapter 3 and enter Chapter 4 at the end of this season, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The current iteration will end on December 3. It will be followed by two days of downtime, and players will then have access to Chapter 3 Season 5, not Chapter 4 Season 1 in all likelihood.

Chapter 4 is coming eventually, but for now, the game will remain in its third chapter.
