After talking with AMIE and hearing about her plans to build herself a robot body, the next step of the Fortnite Oathbound challenge can be a bit difficult. Unlike other tasks that were either 'point-and-shoot' and/or simple fetch challenges, this one is a bit more demanding.

Given that AMIE has no material form, she is unable to hold onto paper. This is a problem because the blueprint she took a printout of, which elaborated on her body's design, was blown away by a strong wind. To find them, players must now scan players with a Falcon Scout to collect the Schematic.

A step-by-step guide on how to scan players with a Falcon Scout and collect their Schematic in Fortnite

Depending on what device Fortnite is being played on, the button responsible for triggering the 'scan' function on the Falcon Scout will be different. For mouse/keyboard players, the standard way to activate the 'scan' feature is by pressing the left mouse button. For console players, the standard button is usually RT for Xbox and R2 for PlayStation.

Keep in mind, the 'scan' feature is not the same as the 'mark' feature. Both work independently of each other. That said, the 'scan' feature is a more powerful version of the 'mark' in Fortnite.

Once an enemy has been scanned by the Falcon Scout, they will remain marked for a brief duration. If they are outside the radius where the 'scan' feature has been used, players will have to wait a while until the feature recharges before it can be used again.

Coming back to the challenge, as mentioned, it is not as simple as the others that came before. Since there is a prerequisite that needs to be fulfilled, some legwork may be needed to find the required item, which is a Falcon Scout.

Falcon Scouts can be found in chests (Rare/Oathbound), as floor loot, and in Supply Drops. However, given the spawn chance/rate of the item, at times, finding it becomes extremely difficult. Nevertheless, there is an alternative way to acquire it.

Rather than searching high and low, players can interact with the NPC known as Rebel. They can be found at a landmark called The Hall of Whispers. For a small price of 250 gold bars, players can acquire the Falcon Scout hassle free.
