Fortnite Spring Breakout event: How to participate, free rewards, challenges, and more

Fortnite Spring Breakout is back! Much like No Sweat Summer or Winterfest, this is a recurring seasonal event. That means it offers Egg Launchers, fun decorations on the island, and much more. It also presents a brand new set of challenges, which will keep players busy as well as offer various rewards. These quests can either offer an XP bonus or a cosmetic upon completion.

Chapter 4 Season 2 is still pretty young, so there's a good chance players are still desperately grinding out its battle pass and need all the XP-earning opportunities they can get. Fortunately, Fortnite's Spring Breakout contains challenges that offer experience points as well as cosmetics. Here's what you need to know about the event.

How to participate

To participate in this event, you only need to have a Fortnite account. After that, Spring Breakout challenges will be available in the Challenges tab for everyone to attempt. This includes players who didn't purchase the battle pass.

The new set of quests is in no way exclusive to a section of the community. Everyone will have the opportunity to earn a lot of XP and free rewards through them. However, some of the quests won't be available from the event's start.

What free rewards are there in Fortnite Spring Breakout?

In the Fortnite Spring Breakout event, there are six total cosmetic rewards available for redemption. Here is the full list:

• Bloomback Sack back bling
• Shell Splash spray
• The Works loading screen
• Banner Icon
• Nannerbloom Hammer pickaxe
• Fresh Flyer Glider

These are all attached to certain challenges, some of which are not even available right away. For example, the quest to unlock the Banner Icon is not available until Day 12 of this event.

Full list of challenges in Fortnite Spring Breakout event

Here are all the challenges you can complete in the Spring Breakout event:

• Visit three Cherry Blossom tree displays
• Collect a Golden Egg
• Hire a Specialist NPC
• Collect an egg within five seconds of it being laid
• Deal 50 damage to players with a Specialist NPC
• Swim in the hot springs at Steamy Springs
• Deal 100 damage to players while under the effects of a Hope Egg
• Give a hired Specialist Character a command
• Place four Chicken Crossing signs at Frenzy Fields or Kenjutsu Crossing
• Talk to Cluck
• Deal 1000 damage to structures with the Egg Launcher
• Consume two Heal Eggs and a piece of meat in a single match
• Jump 50 times in a single match

Many of these offer 20 thousand XP for players to earn. Others grant cosmetic rewards attached to them. The latest event kicks off on March 29 and runs until April 11.
