Fortnite WinterFest 2022: How and when to wake up Guff skin

The Fortnite WinterFest 2022 event has a lot of free rewards but also a couple of mysteries. One of the most significant additions is the Cozy Lodge, where players can unwrap presents daily. However, Guff is sleeping in the lodge, and players seem confused about how to wake him up.

The lodge also features Cozy Knit Jonesy and Snowdancer, two popular winter-themed skins. The two characters can be seen sitting on a sofa and playing video games while Guff is sleeping.

This article will explain everything you need to know about Guff and how and when you can wake him up. This is another free cosmetic item, but it's not available yet.

How to wake up Guff during the Fortnite WinterFest 2022 event

The Fortnite WinterFest 2022 brings 17 free cosmetic items, including two skins. The two skins are Arctic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff, with Guff being the final skin of the event.

Here are all the other free cosmetics that are available:

While Sled Ready Guff can be seen in the lodge, you cannot obtain him yet. This makes sense since Epic Games saves skins for the end, meaning that you will be able to wake up Guff by the end of Winterfest.

When you try to interact with Guff, he swats you away and continues sleeping. He's also holding a present in his hands, which is the skin that you will be able to obtain by the end of the winter-themed event.

In total, there are 14 different presents containing 17 free cosmetics. To wake up Guff and obtain his skin, you must unwrap all the other 13 presents. You can unwrap one present a day, so make sure to do so by the end of the event.

The Fortnite WinterFest 2022 event ends on Tuesday, January 3. After this period, the special Guff skin will no longer be obtainable.

Besides the two skins that can be obtained for free from the Cozy Lodge, you can also get the Guff Gringle skin. This skin appears in the Item Shop when you launch Fortnite through the Epic Games Launcher, meaning it's a PC exclusive.

Fortunately, there is a simple trick you can do to obtain the skin on any other gaming device. You need to use a cloud gaming service, such as GeForce Now or Xbox Cloud Gaming, to log into your Fortnite account and obtain the skin.

Once you log in, navigate to the Item Shop and obtain the skin for free. Remember that this is another Fortnite WinterFest 2022 skin, which means you will be able to obtain it by the end of the event.
